This work draws inspiration from the Lake of Fire, a cauldron in the Duat—the Egyptian underworld—associated with eternal punishment for the wicked or lost souls. For those who failed to uphold Maat, Egyptian theology describes a fragmented afterlife characterized by disunity, torture, and fire as precursors to obliteration.
